Marquez makes it stick in FP3 at Silverstone

Retaining the advantage in good conditions, the EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider holds top spot

Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) has taken out the quickest time again on Saturday after topping Friday’s combined sessions. The Spaniard was the only Moto2 rider to break through to 2.06 seconds, ahead of current Championship leader and team-mate, Franco Morbidelli in P2.

Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) rode the relatively dry track well and ended the third session in P3. Making some advancement on Friday’s times Tom Lüthi (CarXpert Interwetten) moved up into P4, with Forward Racing Team rider Lorenzo Baldassarri filling fifth place.

A notable development in the time-sheets was Remy Gardner (Tech 3 Racing), who stepped up from P16 to P6 with only 6 minutes of the final practice remaining. The young Australian has been battling injury sustained in a crash at the Argentine GP earlier this season.
