Pasini fastest in FP1

Oliveira, Bagnaia and Binder left to chase the veteran Italian’s laptime as action opens in Argentina

Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) topped the first session of the #ArgentinaGP, with a 1:44.461 enough to see off some serious competition. Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was second quickest, ahead of a late dash from Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46) to complete the top three. That just pushed the second Red Bull KTM Ajo of Brad Binder into fourth, after the South African led the way earlier in the session.

Rookie and reigning Moto3™ Champion Joan Mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) put in a noteworthy performance in P8, just over half a second off the top.

There were a number of crashers, including for Bo Bendsneyder (Tech 3 Racing) and Jules Danilo (Nashi Argan SAG Team), but riders ok and back to the box for more action later.

The intermediate class are back out on track at 14:05 local time (GMT -3). For full results, click here!
