Bagnaia heads Navarro and Schrötter on Friday morning

Championship leader and home hero went two tenths clear of the field in the opening Moto2™ session of the weekend

Italian Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) was fourth fastest in the opening session at his home GP, with Bagnaia’s Championship rival Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) rounding out the top five.

Romano Fenati (Marinelli Snipers Team), Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing Team) and Swiss Innovative Investors rider Sam Lowes all crashed on Friday morning – the Brit headed to the medical centre for a checkup after highsiding.
