Rins leads Championship top two in morning runs

The Suzuki man had 0.102s to spare over race favourites Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia

Alex Rins provided a reminder of his speed in Sunday morning Warm Up at the Octo Grand Prix of San Marino, with the Suzuki rider finishing the session fastest thanks to a 1:32.521. The Spaniard had over a tenth to spare on race favourites Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).

It was a strong session for both GSX-RR’s, with Joan Mir joining teammate Rins at the top of the timesheets, with Aleix Epsargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) and Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) rounding out the top six.

Next time we see the premier class on track, it will be for lights out at 13:00 local time, and you can stay up to date with all of the action on motogp.com.
